A round porcelain soup tureen and lid in the classic Burgenland blue pattern. This tureen is in a good condition no cracks and no chips. It was made by Villeroy & Boch, which is one of Europe´s oldest ceramic manufacturers. They were founded in 1748 as a Franco-German company. The Burgenland pattern was designed in the early 20th century and was re-made as it was a popular style. The Burgenland refers to a German region and the rustic landscape scenes on the ceramics highlight this area.
The tureen has no chips and no cracks. Wear is consistent with age and usage. They are in a good condition please see the photos as they form part of the condition report.
