Additional information: The top of the pot would have been covered with a linen cloth tied with a sturdy piece of string to allow the vegetables or meat inside to breath. This pot has a simple aesthetic design whereby the exterior is glazed in a treacle colour and the front top section has been marked with ´TARE 25-4´. This stoneware pot would be ideal for decorative purposes or it could be used as an umbrella stand or even an interior plant pot. The choice is yours!
