Parkers antiques & interiors begun with the mother-daughter duo Kim and Sophie. Sophie´s interests in antiques was triggered by her mum, Kim, who brought her up in Dorset. Sophie recalls spending hours wandering around small antique shops, coming across wonderful treasures and hunting out new places to go with her.

During that time, Sophie found herself attracted to the past and went on to study Art History at Goldsmiths University in London. Her mum was about the contemporary world, as she had studied Graphic design at Central Arts College in London. This was a field in which she would go on to have a career within that would influence and shape her own taste.

During 2017, Kim moved out to the Costa Brava and during that time Sophie had just finished her Masters in London in Art Business from Sothebys. She then decided to take a break and stay with her mum whilst studying fine art in Barcelona. They would continue their hobby of finding and discovering interesting objects. So, in 2022 when they decided to open a small shop it was a natural progression of a lifelong passion or maybe addiction! Either way they have enjoyed the journey so far and currently, their space is in El Baix Emporda, north of Barcelona near the small village of Vulpellac.

They feel that “there is no aesthetic rule book for interiors. Instead, we are about advocating a space that is about individualism. Filled with objects that clash because of their starch contradictions in colour, shape or historical context. Because it allows a space to be profoundly personal allowing it to be exciting, bold and at times quirky. We (Kim & Sophie) hope to help you add this energy to your own home”.
