A large 19th century French wicker case with lid. Very sturdy. Woven in a thick wicker with original features. It would have been used as a travelling basket to store linen etc. It has a beautiful patina across its surface and a great textured surface.
Some areas of the case have been restored and the wicker has been treated for woodworm. The wicker stick that closes the basket has been replaced. Wear is consistent with age and usage whereby the wicker has slight damage, but the structure is solid. Please reference the photos as they form part of the condition report.
